PERSONAL BIO

Hailing from Brockton Massachusetts Emily spent most of her childhood being exposed to art and culture from the world around her. In a very diverse community she took advantage of learning from her peers and taking note of how the arts benefitted all of them. Beginning as a dancer, exposing her to the world of performance, she spent most of her life training in styles ranging from Pointe to Hip Hop to West Coast Swing. While in grade school she had the opportunity to take part in chorus and drama productions. It was through these experiences Emily fell in love with performance, technical theatre, and direction. By the time she finished college Emily has received a multitude of recognitions for her work in all three fields. After reflecting on the impact the arts had in her community Emily's future plans include receiving her Master’s Degree in Educational Theatre in order to continue her work in the theatre by making is accessible and obtainable to communities that otherwise do not have the opportunity to explore the theatre and all the benefits it carries for young people.
